News MOS

The Central Moravian ornithological magazine Zprávy MOS, published by the Ornithological Station in Přerov, is intended for professional and amateur ornithologists mainly from the region of Central Moravia (Olomoucky region and adjacent parts of surrounding regions).

Professional and popular articles in the Czech or Slovak language with English summaries in the usual breakdown are published in the MOS Reports. Formally, contributions are divided into professional articles and short communications (up to 3 pages).

MOS reports are mainly published by:

A. new and/or current information about the birds of Central Moravia

B. articles directly presenting or using new methodological procedures in ornithology, including articles devoted to the determination of "complex" groups of birds

C. new and/or up-to-date information related to the protection of non-local birds

D. to a reasonable extent, overviews of observations with commentary, book reviews, personnel, information about events and programs, calls for cooperation (in total in the scope of max. 1/5 pages of the issue)

All articles are reviewed and published after approval by the editorial board.
